Who's That?




Born in Lahore in 1941, he is a self proclaimed ‘secular fundamentalist’. He was Rajiv Gandhi’s senior both at Doon school and Cambridge, where Rajiv supported his campaign for College President.  He served as India’s first ever consul general in Pakistan during his 26 year tenure in the Indian Foreign Service. In his political career, he was the first ever Union Minister of Panchayati Raj of independent India. He was also the recipient of the Outstanding Parliamentarian award. Apart from Politics, he is a popular columnist and a prolific writer with 4 books to his credit.
